Coventry Rugby has bolstered its playing squad – more specifically in the Scrum Half department in the form of Will Lane ahead of the 2022/23 campaign. The 22-year-old number 9 joins Cov from fellow Championship side Jersey Reds, having previously represented Worcester Warriors and Loughborough University.

With pre-season just around the corner, Lane is excited to be linking up with the rest of the squad: “I’m really looking forward to starting the 2022/23 season with Coventry. It’s a club with a great history and passionate supporters. They seem to be going in a great direction and that’s something I can’t wait to be a part of.”

The scrum half and Sport and Business Management graduate has caught the attentions of Coventry Rugby Head Coach, Alex Rae, with his recent performances: “Will is a really promising young scrum-half, who we believe with the right opportunity here at Coventry will continue to flourish as a player. He’s very quick on his feet and will suit the way that we want to play the game.”

Everyone at Coventry Rugby is looking forward to welcoming Will to the Butts Park Arena come the start of pre-season.
