Coventry Rugby has announced its squad for the Championship fixture against top-of-the-league Ealing Trailfinders, on Saturday 28th January.

Following last week’s cancellation against Ampthill, Alex Rae’s men will look to continue their strong mid-season momentum as they travel down to the Trailfinders Sports Ground.

Jordon Poole captains the XV from hooker, and is accompanied by props Toby Trinder and Ollie Andrews in the front row.

Rhys Thomas joins Adam Peters in the second row, whilst Tom Ball, Josh Bainbridge, and Senitiki Nayalo will pack down in the back row.

Will Chudley, fresh from announcing his re-signing with the club will link up with the exciting Pat Pellegrini in a halfback pairing which blends youth with experience, and will be key to unlocking the Ealing defence.

The centre partnership consisting of our two ‘Wills’, Will Rigg and Will Wand, will again look to combine attacking power with defensive nouse.

The starting XV is rounded out by an exciting backfield trio of James Martin, the electric Shea Cornish, and Louis James at fullback.

Suva Ma’asi, Martin Mulhall, and Jake Bridges will all be waiting in the wings to bring additional firepower to the front row, with Mulhall joining the squad on loan from Bristol Bears. George Smith returns to the side, whom alongside Fred Betteridge concludes the forward replacements.

The dynamic Will Lane will be looking to make an impact off the bench at scrum-half, whilst Lucas Titherington and Evan Mitchell will provide cover across the rest of the backline.
