Coventry Rugby has announced its squad for the upcoming fixture against Caldy on Saturday 18th March.

Following last week’s disappointing result on the road against Cornish Pirates, Alex Rae’s side will be looking to bounce back as they return to the BPA.

Toby Trinder again captains the XV from Loosehead, and is flanked by Will Biggs, at Hooker, and Ollie Andrews at Tighthead.

In the engine room the ever-present James Tyas partners Rhys Thomas this week, with Tyas’ usual second row associate Adam Peters shifting to Number 8. Peters will be joined in the back row by Tom Ball, fresh from signing his contract extension, as well as Josh Bainbridge.

The halfback pairing remains unchanged following Pat Pellegrini’s return to the starting lineup last weekend, as our resident Australian will once again look to link-up with Will Chudley.

In the midfield, the Lucas Titherington / Will Rigg axis gets another run out, whilst the starting XV is rounded out by a backfield trio of James Martin, Will Wand and Will Talbot-Davies at fullback.

Billy Harding (loan), Arthur Cordwell (loan) and Jake Bridges will all be waiting in the wings to bring additional firepower to the front row, with second-row George Smith concluding the forward replacements.

Will Lane and Evan Mitchell will be looking to make an impact off the bench at scrum-half and fly-half respectively, whilst Ollie Betteridge and Louis James will provide cover across the backline.
