The Coventry team has been named for the first Friday night game of the 2021/22 Championship season against Hartpury at the ALPAS Arena (KO 7:45 pm).

Senior Academy squad member Evan Mitchell returned from injury last week appearing on the bench against Richmond with Mitchell in the starting line-up this week at fly-half. Mitchell was recently asked to join the England U20 training camp with four other Coventry Senior Academy squad members and has appeared in seven Coventry games to date – as well as some particularly impressive performances in preseason.

We see a similar formation in regards to the forwards after some subtle changes were made last week to face Richmond with Leicester Tiger’s loan Dan Richardson making his first start for Coventry positioned at loosehead prop.

On the bench, James Martin also makes his return after picking up an injury during the preseason. Fred Betteridge reappears on the bench having made his debut for the club in last weeks fixture.
