Coventry Rugby has announced its squad for the seventh fixture of the 2022/23 Championship campaign, against Caldy RFC on Saturday 29th October.
Following last week’s home victory against Cornish Pirates, Alex Rae’s 23-man squad will be looking to continue their winning momentum, as they travel to Paton Field.
Toby Trinder captains the side again this week, and is joined in the front row by Suva Ma’asi and Harry Seward, whilst the returning Adam Peters partners James Tyas in the engine room.
New man Tom Dodd gets his second start at openside flanker, with Josh Bainbridge (7) and Fred Betteridge (8) filling out the rest of the back row.
Will Chudley links up with Pat Pellegrini in an exciting half-back pairing, whilst Lucas Titherington starts against his old club at inside centre, and finds Will Rigg outside him in the 13 channel.
The starting XV is rounded out by an electric backfield trio composed of the in-form Shea Cornish (11), Will Talbot-Davies (14) and the ever-present Louis Brown at fullback.
Three front row substitutes will look to add power from the bench in the form of Ollie Stone, Danny Southworth and Ollie Andrews, whilst George Smith and Tom Ball conclude the forward replacements.
The dynamic Will Lane and Evan Mitchell will look to add some creative spark to the half-back positions, with Louis James providing cover for the back three.
