Coventry Rugby is delighted to announce the signing of versatile back-row Jack Bartlett, ahead of the upcoming 2023/24 Championship campaign.

Bartlett started his career at Lydney RFC, before joining the Gloucester Rugby player development pathway programme aged 12. Since then, he’s gone on to represent England at both U18 and 20 level, before making his professional debut for Gloucester in the Premiership Cup in 2018.

Recently, Bartlett has undergone a transition from a prop forward to a No.8 / 6; and, having grown up playing inside centre, back-row, hooker and prop, his versatility and raw athleticism will be a huge asset to Alex Rae’s side.

Speaking about his decision to sign with the club, Bartlett said “I’m thrilled to be given the opportunity to join Coventry for next season. I really love the style of rugby and can’t wait to hopefully add to that and build some great memories going forward”.

Head Coach Alex Rae is just one of many looking forward to seeing the back row pull on the Blue and White shirt; “We’re delighted to bring Jack to Coventry. He’s a player with huge potential and has attributes which can set him apart from others. It’s ours and Jack’s responsibility now to get the best out of him to see those every week”.

Welcome to Butts Park, Jack!
