Coventry Rugby have secured the services of one of the most promising players in the University BUCS league. Putting pen to paper for the 2022/23 campaign is young centre, Will Rigg. The centre from Cardiff Met University RFC is the newest member of the Cov playing squad.
“I’m so pleased to join such a great club, and I’m excited to see what we can achieve and have some fun along the way.”
The former Solihull School-boy and England Students representative has been catching the eye with his performances in the BUCS league, whilst playing for Cardiff Met, who have been prolific in producing special talents to go on to the professional stage such as Alex Dombrandt and Luke Northmore.
Interim Head Coach, Alex Rae is chuffed to secure the sought-after centre: “He’s the stand out centre in the BUCS and was great for England students. He has the ability to get over the gain line and cause defences problems. His hunger to develop further was really impressive.”
