Wand’s magic is here to stay!

Coventry Rugby is thrilled to announce the re-signing of exciting centre, Will Wand ahead of the 2023/24 campaign. 

Having joined the club prior to the 2022 pre-season from the former National League One side, Cambridge – Wand has impressed on numerous occasions with his impressive mix of pace and skill. The centre has predominately performed in the 13 channel, appearing in 19 matches this campaign, scoring three tries along the way.

Head Coach, Alex Rae is delighted that Wand will remain at Butts Park Arena; “It’s brilliant to have Will on board again this season. He’s had a really good first year as a pro, but there’s so much more to come from him which really excites us!”

Will has been one of many players that have both enjoyed and relished their first season in the full-time rugby environment. Looking ahead to next season, and Wand is hoping he can continue his rapid development here at Butts Park, whilst contributing to the group: 

“I really want to help this team achieve equal, if not more success than last season.”

Everyone at Coventry Rugby is looking forward to seeing more of Will in the famous Blue and White next season.
