Coventry Rugby is thrilled to announce the re-signing of both Tom Ball and Fin Ogden, ahead of the 2023/24 season.
Tom and Fin, both former Senior Academy players, have put pen to paper and committed themselves to Cov, signing on 2-year senior contracts.
Upon his re-signing, Fin Ogden spoke of his excitement to build on his Coventry experience to date:
“I’m buzzing to have resigned for next season. I’m loving every minute at the club and the opportunities that I’ve been given. I can’t wait to see this club grow and to be a part of it.”
Both players have seen their influence grow at Butts Park this season, playing increasingly important roles in Alex Rae’s squad. In recent weeks, Ball has stepped into a leadership position, captaining the side in some of our Championship Cup fixtures. Ogden, meanwhile, continues to impress with his performances at scrum half, injecting both pace as well as a sense of control to the play.
Tom Ball gave his thoughts and shared his excitement for what’s to come: “I’m really pleased to have resigned at the club. Butts Park is a special place, with an even more incredible base of loyal supporters. We’re going somewhere really exciting, and I’m thrilled that I can continue to be a part of this club and its journey.”
Head Coach, Alex Rae is thrilled that the two young talents have chosen to extend their BPA stay:
“Tom has come on leaps and bounds this season and his development has been really pleasing to see. He knows exactly what it means to be a Coventry player is well liked and respected in the group. We can’t wait to help him push onto the next level now.”
“Fin is a great person to have around the place and has really developed physically and as a 9. We believe there is a lot more to come from him and working with and alongside Will Chudley, he’ll continue to grow and develop.”
Everyone at Coventry Rugby is looking forward to seeing more of Tom & Fin in the Blue and White this season, and beyond!
