Coventry Rugby has announced its squad for the first of our Gift to the Community games, against the UK Armed Forces on Friday night.

Following last week’s victory against London Scottish in the Championship Cup, Alex Rae has rung the changes and named a youthful and ambitious squad, which will see a whole host of new names making their debuts.

In the forwards, Ollie Stone and George Smith will be two to watch, having both been involved with the senior squad throughout this season. 19-year-old back rower George Hallam, who made his international debut for Switzerland at the end of last year, will also be just one of a number of exciting, young players on show on Friday night.

Moving to the backs, the theme of blending youth with experience continues. The familiar faces of Ollie Betteridge, Joe Snow, Fin Ogden, and Tobi Wilson will accompany several current Senior Academy players in the backline, some of who will no doubt be looking to force their way into Alex Rae’s thinking for next season.

We look forward to welcoming you all to Butts Park tomorrow night, on what is sure to be a fantastic evening of rugby for both players and supporters.
