Coventry Rugby has announced its squad for this year’s Boxing Day fixture, against Nottingham Rugby.
Following last week’s victory against Richmond in front of a packed-out BPA, Alex Rae’s men will look to continue their winning momentum as they travel up to Nottingham.
Jordon Poole captain the XV from hooker, and is joined by Toby Trinder and the returning Harry Seward in the front row. Second- row stalwarts James Tyas and Adam Peters pack down in the engine room.
The back row remains unchanged from last week’s festive fixture, with Tom Dodd, Josh Bainbridge and Senitiki Nayalo all retaining their places at the rear of the scrum.
The in-form duo of Will Chudley and Pat Pellegrini continue their partnership in the half-back positions, whilst Will Rigg and Will Wand will link up in the centres.
The starting XV is rounded out by an exciting and familiar-looking back three of James Martin, Will Talbot-Davies and Louis Brown at fullback.
Suva Ma’asi, Danny Southworth and Ollie Andrews will all be waiting in the wings to bring additional firepower to the front row, with Rhys Thomas and Tom Ball concluding the forward replacements.
The dynamic Will Lane will be looking to make an impact off the bench at scrum-half, whilst Lucas Titherington and Louis James will provide cover in the centres and backfield.
