Coventry Rugby has announced its squad for the game against Doncaster Knights on Saturday 4th February, as we resume our Championship Cup campaign.
Following last week’s huge victory at the Trailfinders Sports Ground, Alex Rae has rung the changes as his men return to the BPA and look to continue their league form into the cup.
In the front row Jamie Jack, on loan from Edinburgh Rugby, makes his debut for the club, and is accompanied by Suva Ma’asi and Ollie Andrews.
George Smith and Senitiki Nayalo will pack down next to each other in the engine room, as the latter brings up half a century of appearances in the Blue and White shirt.
Tom Ball captains the XV from openside flanker, and is joined by Josh Bainbridge at blindside, and Fred Betteridge at number 8.
Will Lane will link up with Evan Mitchell in an exciting and youthful halfback pairing, whilst Ollie Betteridge partners Lucas Titherington in the midfield.
The starting XV is rounded out by an electric backfield trio of Louis James, Shea Cornish, and Tobi Wilson who makes his debut at fullback.
Will Biggs, Toby Trinder, Jake Bridges and Jordon Poole will all be waiting in the wings to bring some added steel to the front row.
Joe Snow returns from his long-term injury to provide cover at 9 alongside Fin Ogden, whilst Will Wand and James Martin will provide support across the rest of the back line.
