Coventry Rugby has announced its squad for the upcoming fixture against Ampthill on Saturday 8th April.

Following last Friday’s win against Hartpury in front of the BPA faithful, Alex Rae’s side are on the road this week, as they travel down to Dillingham Park.

Toby Trinder returns to the lineup to captain the starting XV from the front row, and is joined by Suva Ma’asi at Hooker and Ollie Andrews at tighthead.

In the engine room James Tyas partners George Smith this week, whilst the back row remains unchanged from the run-out against Hartpury, with Tom Ball, Josh Bainbridge and Tom Dodd all starting.

The halfback pairing of Will Chudley and Evan Mitchell continue to combine youth with experience, and will be key to unlocking a stubborn Ampthill defence.

Lucas Titherington starts at inside centre, and will find Will Rigg outside him at 13, whilst the matchday XV is rounded out by a back three of James Martin, Will Talbot-Davies and Louis Brown at fullback.

Four front row replacements will be looking to add some firepower from the bench in the form of Will Biggs, Arthur Cordwell, Jake Bridges and James Kenny, whilst Rhys Thomas concludes the forward replacements.

Will Lane will be looking to add some zip as replacement 9, while Ollie Betteridge and Will Wand will provide cover across the breadth and width of the backline.
