The Champ Rugby season is in full flow, and Coventry Rugby return to the Butts Park Arena eager to bounce back in front of their home crowd. This weekend’s clash against last year’s champions, Ealing Trailfinders, promises to be an awesome encounter.

Head Coach Alex Rae has made a handful of changes as the coaching team look to freshen things up and rediscover some early-season momentum.

In the front row, Toby Trinder returns to the starting lineup alongside Suva Ma’asi and Matt Johnson, forming a powerful trio tasked with setting the platform up front. Behind them, Jack Shine partners Senitiki Nayalo in the engine room, with both looking to assert themselves around the breakdown.

The back row sees Dan Green come in at six, joining Tom Ball, who celebrates his 100th appearance for the club – a brilliant milestone for one of Cov’s most consistent performers. Captain Morgan Strong completes the pack, continuing in the number eight shirt after leading from the front in recent weeks.

At half-back, the pairing of Josh Barton and Josh Thomas returns, providing control and flair in the attacking phases. In midfield, Morgan Adderly-Jones links up with Oli Morris, while out wide, Peter Sullivan and David Opoku-Fordjour will look to inject pace and finishing flair. Once again, Tom Bacon starts at full-back, offering security and creativity from deep.

On the bench, Murray Davidson is set for his first appearance of the campaign, joined by Keston Lines and Eliot Salt to provide front-row reinforcement. Allan Ferrie and Mackenzie Graham offer impact in the back row, while Tom Miles, Tommy Mathews, and Api Bavadra round out a balanced and dynamic bench.

Coventry will be hoping that a return home provides the perfect stage for a response after last week. We look forward to hearing you all in full voice!
