Following the conclusion of this campaign’s final home game, against Nottingham on the 22nd of April, we will be hosting a presentation on the pitch in order to say thank you to all those departing.

The players leaving us will be pitch-side and ready to catch up with you, the supporters. Make sure you don’t miss the opportunity to say your goodbye’s.

The eight senior players departing at the end of 2022/23 are:

Will Talbot-Davies

Joe Snow – The scrum-half leaves Coventry having made 27 appearances for the club since his arrival from Exeter Chiefs, initially on dual registration, in the Summer of 2021.

Tom Dodd – Following the back-rower’s arrival in October from Worcester, Dodd has played 13 times in the Blue and White shirt this season, and has been a solid and dependable force in the pack.

Adam Peters – With 88 caps for the club, Peters has been with Coventry since our return to the Championship in the Summer of 2018. The versatile forward has played a number of positions during his time in the West Midlands, but, in recent seasons, has found himself packing down at second row for Alex Rae’s side.

Rhys Thomas – Former Wales u18 & u20 international Thomas has made 21 appearances for Cov since he joined the club at the beginning of the 2021/22 season.

Louis Brown – The fullback arrived in the West Midlands from Old Elthamians, having previously spent time in the Championship with Yorkshire Carnegie. Since joining Cov, Brown has put in many a memorable performance in a Blue and White shirt, and has always had an eye for the tryline.

Josh Bainbridge – The powerful back-rower joined Coventry from Championship rivals Jersey Reds prior to the 21/22 season, and has since made 43 appearances for the club. A dependable member of Alex Rae’s pack, Bainbridge’s experience has been invaluable to a young Coventry side.

Jakes Bridges – Jake is a Coventry Rugby Academy graduate who has developed tremendously into a senior level front rower over the past few years. Formerly of the Northampton Saints Junior Academy, Bridges has amassed 26 senior appearances during his time at Butts Park Arena.

Will Talbot-Davies – Will joined the club from the Welsh side, Dragons RFC, at the start of the 2022/23 campaign. Formerly a Warwickshire age group player as a youngster, Talbot-Davies made an excellent impression upon his return to the area during his debut season in blue and white, making 20 appearances to date.

Head Coach, Alex Rae, had this to say on the departing players: “It’s never nice writing these quotes as all of these players have contributed huge amounts on and off the pitch. All 9 players have always given 100% to the badge, and that’s all we can ever ask for. They’ll always be welcome back and I’d like to thank them for playing big parts in writing this season’s chapter in the Coventry story.”

On behalf of everyone at Coventry Rugby, we wish all those departing the very best for the future.

Once Cov, Always Cov.
