Coventry Rugby is thrilled to announce the re-signing of Ollie Andrews, ahead of the 2023/24 season.
Andrews arrived at the Butts Park Arena in the summer of 2022, having previously provided short-term injury cover 2 seasons ago for a fixture against Doncaster Knights. His performance in that game, as well as appearances for Cardiff Met in the BUCS league and for England Students, earned him a full-time contract with the club. Since arriving permanently the prop has seen his influence grow at the BPA, playing an increasingly important role in Alex Rae’s squad this season.
Speaking about the decision to re-sign with the club, Andrews said “I’m thrilled to have re-signed, and I can’t wait for what the future holds here. Bring on the rest of the season now!”
Head Coach Alex Rae is looking forward to seeing the prop further develop at Butts Park; “We’ve been really pleased with how Ollie has been developing and growing as this season has progressed. We see a huge amount of potential for further growth and we’re excited to see where that can take Ollie. More importantly, he’s a great character and really good person.”
