Matchday Guide: A Special Day at the Nick Newbold Stadium

Supporters can look forward to a memorable and historic day as the Nick Newbold Stadium opens its gates for what promises to be a fantastic occasion both on and off the pitch.

The stadium opens at 12:00, giving fans plenty of time to soak in the atmosphere before kick-off. From midday, the Tutors & Exams Platinum Marquee and the Nick Newbold Event Marquee will both be open for hospitality guests, alongside the ticket office and all inside bars and food outlets.

Those with tickets to the Nick Newbold Stadium Name Unveiling & Tribute Event should note that your marquee for the day is located in the standing area of the stadium, in the corner closest to the car park.

Pre-Match Event:

The day will carry special significance as the club begins a new chapter with the naming of our home as the Nick Newbold Stadium.

• 14:45 – Presentation on the pitch with the family and friends of Nick Newbold
• 14:58 – A minute’s applause in remembrance

Supporters are encouraged to be in their seats early to take part in these moments.

Kick-Off

• 15:00 – Coventry Rugby vs Doncaster Knights

At half-time, fans can take part in our “Kick it for a Ticket” challenge, with a member of our community team heading around pre-match to find participants for a chance to win a season ticket for the 2026/27 season.

Post-Match Entertainment

The day doesn’t end at the final whistle:

• 17:15 – Swansea vs Coventry City shown live on all screens around the ground
• 17:30 – Live music from Barton Hollow in the Tutors & Exams Marquee (all welcome)
• Gdansk performing live in the Jon Sharp
