About Coventry Rugby Academy
Coventry Rugby Academy is dedicated to developing the next generation of rugby talent through elite training, education, and support. Since its launch last year, we have seen a significant surge of interest in the Academy across our digital media channels, creating an exciting opportunity for further growth. We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic person to help raise the profile of our academy players and activities by producing engaging digital content, long form videos, and supporting commercial efforts.
Role Overview
The Academy Media Intern will play a key role in supporting the Academy’s marketing efforts by creating captivating content and managing social media channels. This position offers valuable experience working with Adobe software and real-time coverage of academy matches and events, often requiring evening and weekend availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and schedule engaging social media content that showcases Coventry Rugby Academy’s players, training, events and partnerships.
- Edit videos using Adobe Premiere Pro for highlights, player interviews, and behind-the-scenes long-form features
- Design eye-catching graphics and layouts using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign for posts, updates, and promotional materials
- Stay on top of the latest social media trends to keep the Academy’s channels fresh, relevant, and engaging to a younger audience
- Support live social media updates during academy matches and events, requiring flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Work with the Coventry Rugby marketing/commercial team to brainstorm and implement creative campaigns
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and InDesign
- Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling through digital media
- Up-to-date knowledge of social media trends, platforms, and best practices
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Availability to work evenings and weekends to cover matches and events
- Interest in rugby or sports development is advantageous
