Coventry Rugby is proud to share that Ewan Baker has become an official ambassador for Back and Forth Men’s Mental Health, a charity dedicated to raising awareness and encouraging open conversations around men’s mental wellbeing.

In his new role, Ewan will work closely with the organisation to help shine a light on the importance of mental health, particularly among men, where stigma and silence can too often prevent individuals from seeking support. Through advocacy, community engagement and awareness initiatives, he will help promote the message that no one has to struggle alone.

Speaking about his involvement, Ewan said:

“I’ve got the pleasure of being an ambassador for Back and Forth, which is an amazing charity that encourages men to speak up about any of their problems or simply to have a chat. It’s a great opportunity to get men having conversations they might otherwise keep to themselves. I look forward to this challenge and am excited about what comes with it.”

Back and Forth Men’s Mental Health focuses on creating safe spaces for men to talk, connect and access support. By encouraging honest dialogue and challenging stigma, the charity aims to make seeking help a sign of strength rather than weakness.

Jon Barratt, Founder of Back and Forth Men’s Mental Health, welcomed Ewan’s appointment, adding:

“We’re absolutely delighted to welcome Ewan as an ambassador for Back and Forth Men’s Mental Health. Having respected voices in sport speak openly about mental wellbeing helps us break down stigma and show men that it’s okay to talk. Ewan’s willingness to use his platform to encourage honest conversations will make a real difference, and we’re proud to be working alongside Coventry Rugby to promote the message that no one has to struggle alone.”

As a club deeply rooted in its community, Coventry Rugby recognises the powerful role sport can play in bringing people together and driving positive change. The collaboration between Ewan and Back and Forth aligns closely with the club’s values of unity, resilience and support both on and off the field.

We are incredibly proud of Ewan for stepping into this ambassadorial role and using his voice to champion such an important cause. Together, we hope to help foster a culture where conversations around mental health are normalised, supported and embraced.
