Coventry Rugby is thrilled to announce the re-signing of young fly half, Evan Mitchell ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.
Having joined the club back in 2020, Evan has developed and progressed up the ranks from academy prospect to a key member of the senior squad. The left-footed number 10 has impressed off the kicking tee this year with numerous faultless goal-kicking performances.
Head Coach, Alex Rae is delighted that Mitchell will remain at Butts Park Arena; “It’s great that Evan is staying. He’s a young man who has bags of potential and we’re starting to see that more and more on a Saturday. He’s a really good team man, and he’s a local lad as well – which is an added bonus.”
As a local, Evan is well aware of just what this club means to the community. Mitchell has become a real fan-favourite over the past few seasons, and he was delighted to put pen to paper on a new deal.
“I’m buzzing to have re-signed for another year at my hometown club. I’m really excited to build on last season’s success and to push for more!”
Everyone at Coventry Rugby is looking forward to seeing more of Evan in the famous Blue and White next season.
