Coventry Rugby is delighted to announce the signing of tighthead prop Eliot Salt, ahead of the 2023/24 season.

Head Coach Alex Rae is looking forward to welcoming Salt to Butts Park: “Eliot is a hugely exciting player with massive amounts of potential. He’s a big man who scrums and moves really well; he’s aware of the step up from BUCS rugby but we’re confident like Ollie Andrews and Will Rigg he’ll be a great success and thrive in this environment”.

Salt in action for Cardiff Met

The powerful prop joins us directly from Cardiff Met university RFC. Before competing in the BUCS league, Salt spent three years in the Exeter Chiefs academy, and also made appearances for Redruth RFC as well as Truro College.

Speaking about his decision to sign with the club, Salt said “I’m chuffed to have signed for Coventry, they are a very competitive team that play a very likeable brand of rugby. Looking forward to meeting up with the squad and cracking on!”

Welcome to Coventry, Eliot.
