The Coventry Rugby management has noted the recent announcement that SKINS Teamwear will be ceasing trading.
We are understandably disappointed by the news so soon after the start of a three-year contract that we had entered into good faith. But we understand that financial difficulties have led to SKINS’ global owners to withdraw from all their Teamwear contracts.
The Coventry Rugby teams will continue to wear SKINS kit for the remainder of the current season, and the club will continue to sell its current stock of SKINS replica and performance wear. We are negotiating to purchase remaining stock from SKINS to meet the requirements of our supporters.
The club is currently in the final stages of agreeing a new partnership with a teamwear provider to be the club’s official team and performance wear partner for the 2020/21 season onwards. This is off the back of discussion with various teamwear providers who were all keen to work with the club.
The club has also agreed a new commercial partnership with an organisation to provide our new Cowshed leisurewear range. A number of items from the new range will be available in the club store when we play Ampthill on the 30th November.
We apologise for any understandable disappointment and frustration for our supporters, but we appreciate their understanding that this is out of the club’s hands.
