Coventry Rugby has joined forces with Free Radio Cash for Kids’ Mission Christmas to make a difference this festive season to local children living in poverty.

We’re looking for new and unwrapped gifts suitable for children and young people aged 0 to 18, which will be distributed by Cash for Kids in the run-up to Christmas Day. Last year Cash for Kids brightened the Christmases of nearly 7,000 disadvantaged local children across the West Midlands, working with local social services, youth groups and foodbanks to ensure the gifts get to the people who need them.

You can donate your gift at the Coventry Rugby reception during opening hours, and at the home Championship Cup game against Ampthill on Saturday, November 30th.

Recommended value of the gift is +/-£10, with some ideas including:

0-3 years – teddies, musical toys, rattles, books, play mats

3-5 years – cars, dolls, jigsaws, dress-up items, playdoh, colouring books and pencils

5-7 years – Lego, arts and crafts, board games, action figures/dolls

7-9 years – footballs/rugby balls, board games, remote control toys, stationary sets, arts and crafts

9-12 years – board games, make-up sets, puzzles, books

12-18 years – toiletries (make-up, aftershave, etc), small electrical items (mini speakers, etc), jewellery, puzzles, books

Gifts can be donated up until December 16th. For more information about Mission Christmas head to freeradio.co.uk/mission
