Coventry Rugby are back on the road this weekend as we make the trip to Paton Field to take on Caldy RFC in Round 10 of the Champ Rugby season. With momentum building and a solid performance last weekend, the squad is set for another fiercely contested fixture away from Butts Park Arena.
Head Coach Alex Rae has again rewarded recent performances with a settled core, while also rotating in a number of players who have impressed over the past weeks. The challenge at Paton Field is always a physical one, and this week’s 23 has been selected with that in mind – a blend of power in the pack, sharp decision-making at half-back, and pace across the back three.
The bench provides strong impact options, giving Coventry the ability to shift gears late on should the game require it. With a full week of preparation behind them, the squad travel north with confidence and determination as we look to continue our push through the second phase of the campaign.
We hope to see plenty of travelling support at Paton Field – your backing on the road is always felt by the lads.
Alfie Longstaff (hooker) is with the Coventry squad this weekend on dual registration from Sale Sharks.
