COVENTRY Rugby can confirm that second row forward Brendon Snyman has parted company with the club with immediate effect following the conclusion of an internal disciplinary hearing.

The South African lock joined the club in June 2016 from London Welsh and made 13 National League One appearances.

“I cannot fault Brendon’s efforts on the pitch, and on behalf of the club we thank him and wish him well for the future,” said director of rugby, Rowland Winter.

Cov’s squad resumes training tonight after the Christmas break in readiness for the resumption of league action at Macclesfield on January 7 with Boris Stankovich continuing in his enhanced role of overall forwards coach.

Training tonight and tomorrow is at the Alan Higgs Centre.

From next week there will be no Monday night sessions at Butts Park Arena with training switched to a daytime session at the Alan Higgs Centre.

Said Winter: “We are looking forward to playing Macclesfield next weekend. The squad is fully fit and raring to go following a well-deserved Christmas break.

“The aim is to continue our good form and start 2017 with a strong away performance.”
