The Coventry Rugby Under-18s have a number of matches in the diary for the next few weeks.

The calendar includes games against Premiership outfits Leicester and Newcastle, along with Cambridge University U20s and the Lambs, which brings together the best players from independent schools across England. It is hoped that a return fixture against Nottingham – who Cov faced at Lady Bay earlier in the season – will also be arranged.

“The boys have been training well and we’re looking forward to seeing what they can do in games,” says Academy Manager Ross Stewart. “The games we’ve arranged will test our players and will be a good yardstick to see how far we’ve progressed.

“We had a good session at Butts Park over the Christmas break and it was good for our players to see how the Senior Squad trains and the professionalism and attitude that they will need to have a career in rugby. We’re one of the only Championship clubs to have this approach and it will help us achieve our ambition of having the best local players represent the club.”

Entry into home games is free and all are welcome.

Thanks to the Coventry Rugby Supporters Club for their continued sponsorship of the Under-18s team.
