STADIUM & MATCHDAY INFORMATION

Our Stadium

The Nick Newbold Stadium is the home of Coventry Rugby. Located in the Spon End area of Coventry, it sits right in the heart of the city.
The 5,250-capacity stadium has been home to the club since 2004. A multi-use venue, it regularly hosts a range of local sporting fixtures, with Coventry United Football Club also playing annual matches at the ground.
The stadium features one main stand, the XL Motors Stand, which includes a number of popular conferencing, events, and banqueting facilities.
In 2026, the stadium was renamed in honour of Nick Newbold, a former club director and lifelong supporter whose dedication made a lasting impact on both the club and the wider community. Nick worked with Coventry Rugby for 17 years and played a significant role in supporting charitable and community initiatives across the city, including work with Coventry City F.C.’s official charity and Acorns Children’s Hospice.
Born and educated in Coventry, his commitment to sport and community was an inspiration to many. The naming of the Nick Newbold Stadium serves as a lasting tribute to his outstanding contribution to the club and the city. The official naming ceremony took place on 21 March 2026, during Coventry Rugby’s Champ Rugby fixture against Doncaster Knights, marking a proud new chapter in the history of the ground.
