FORM GUIDE

Coventry head to the Channel Islands six points and two places ahead of Jersey in the Greene King IPA Championship table. But the travellers’ three-match winning streak came to a halt against Cornish Pirates last time out, and the players will be out to prove a point.

Jersey have spent most of the 2021 campaign away from home turf themselves, but they made the most of home advantage with a comfortable win over Nottingham two rounds ago in front of just over 1,000 spectators – the first Greene King IPA Championship club to be allowed a crowd by the Jersey government.

Having beaten Ampthill 14-29 last time out, Jersey Reds have made just one change to their starting side. This move sees Jack Roberts drop out of the side due to injury, with Brendan Owen moving from the wing to outside centre and Darren Atkins taking his place on the wing.

Dan Richardson and Lewis Wynne carry on their run in the team, the pair having played in every game so far this season. On the bench, Josh Bainbridge and Rory Bartle get an opportunity to have an impact in front of the Stade Santander faithful.

Rowland Winter has made numerous changes to his team for Coventry’s trip to the Channel Islands. Following a lay off due to injury, Rob Stevenson returns on the wing and Will Owen starts at inside centre.

It is in the pack where the most changes have been made, as a new look front row sees Toby Trinder start at loosehead prop, Jordan Poole at hooker and Phil Boulton at tighthead. Elsewhere, Cameron Jordan is restored at lock and Ben Nutley takes on the mantel of openside flanker.
