Coventry RFC worked closely alongside the Youth Offending Service to create a specialised programme for young people on the ISSP initiative.

Sport can play a crucial part on the development of young people; in their own personal development, the building of confidence and social skills.

The programme involved Coventry RFC first team players, along with the assistance of Murray Henderson, mentoring the young offenders. The sessions involved a number of educational tasks along with team building exercises. The pilot scheme of this was a great success, with some of the participants making a noticeable change in their life style.
