Coventry Rugby Football Club has been forced to change its pre-season warm up game against Welsh National One side Caerphilly RFC on Tuesday 21st August 2007. Caerphilly informed Coventry yesterday it would be unable to fulfil this fixture. Brett Davey, the clubs assistant coach has arranged an alternative away fixture on Tuesday 21st August 2007 against the Welsh Principality Premiership side Maesteg RFC. The kick off is at 7.00pm. This game promises to be an even harder encounter as Maesteg are in a division above Caerphilly in the Welsh Premiership and should prove a really tough and testing game for the National One Side. Andrew Green, Coventry’s Chairman stated “I would like to thank Brett Davey for his resourcefulness in re-arranging this fixture so quickly, this is what I have come to expect of everybody involved in our rugby department, nothing seems to faze them and they just get on with the job in hand. Perhaps Caerphilly heard about our pre-season warm up and didn’t fancy the game.” Ends. Press enquiries: Andrew Green, Coventry RFC, email: |
