COVENTRY Rugby Football Club has today announced a new signing of a different kind - a full-time physiotherapist in the shape of Julie Snow.

Julie joins the club as an experienced, fully-qualified physiotherapist who qualified at Coventry University. She will further enhance the professional back room staff who form an expert infrastructure for the wellbeing of the players and the club as it moves forward into a new era.

Julie has always had a passion for the sport and an ambition to be involved in a full-time, professional rugby club. She has been around rugby all her life, previously she enjoyed an involvement and association with local club Old Coventrians RFC where she grew up watching her father play. Julie moved on to become physiotherapist for Old Coventrians 1st XV and Coventry Bears rugby league team, as well as spending time helping out the Midlands under-16 age group and Leicester Tigers with their community programme teaching children in the community.

Tony Gulliver, Coventry’s team manager said: “We are delighted to have Julie on board - she is an extremely professional individual who is highly motivated and will certainly complement the team we are assembling here at Coventry.

He continued: “When our searches led us to Julie, we were very happy to find she was a  local person with a real love of the game. We would like to thank Old Coventrians RFC who recommended her for the role and encouraged her to pursue her dream. This clearly demonstrates that the clubs in Coventry can work together for the good of rugby in Warwickshire.”

Ends.
