Phil Maynard has now chsen his team to face local rivals, Birmingham & Solihull at the BPA with Coventry looking to complete their first double of the season.

Bees, having earlier gone into administration and losing 13 players have recruited a further 16 to help them avoid relegation. The weather has caused havoc with their home games, having had to play their last 3 “away”, including last night's "home" reverse 39 nil against Nottingham, played at Moseley.

Bees have yet to win a league match this season with 17 losses and a creditable draw "away" to Cornish Pirates. They also recently narrowly lost to Moseley 24-25.

With both Coventry and Birmingham & Solihull looking to get some momentum and confidence, as well as putting down a marker for their forthcoming relegation playoffs, a close and nervous battle is expected.
