Coventry have named second row, Arthur Brenton as Captain for the new season!

Phil Maynard is confident in the lock, who Captained Plymouth Albion last season, “Arthur has Captained well at this level before and with all his experience in the top two divisions, he is the right man for the job”.

The 28 year old was delighted to be asked, “I’m looking forward to Captaining another professional club and I believe my experience will serve Coventry well. With such a lot to play for, the new league will be an interesting and exciting challenge from a personal point of view as well as on the field”.

Brenton will lead Coventry in tonight’s challenging friendly against Newport Gwent Dragons before the first ever Championship game is kicked off at Butts Park Arena next Friday night.
