Welsh prop, Dai Maddocks has returned to Coventry to join Phil Maynard’s impressive front row.

 

 

 

 

 

 

At is 6’ 1” and 18st the 26 year old is a strong final addition to the squad’s props.

Dai previously played for Newport Gwent, the Welsh Dragons and Llanelli Scarletts and has been selected to play for the Barbarians four times in his career.


The experienced loose head joined the Club in June 2007 and had a successful first season. After a short break in the second half of last season, he now returns fit and ready to continue.


Maddocks comments, “The squad and coaching team look strong so I’m confident that we’ll do well in the new league. I’m proud to be part of it and ready to get stuck in again”.


Maddocks begins pre-season training today with former Coventry team mates Ben Russell, Henno Venter, Kurt Johnson, Lee Parry, Rob Dugard, Sam Herrington, Jamie Miller, Ollie Winter, Ben Pons, Nathan Jones and Tommy Hayes alongside new recruits Richie Bignell, Arthur Brenton, James Hall, James Lewis, Louis McGowan, Aaron Carpenter, Phil Mackenzie, Mike Walls, Richard Sweeney, Ross McMillan, Scott Roberts, Kevin Davis, Pale Toelupe and Romain Plantey and Chris Lewis.
