Flanker, Ben Pons is to join Coventry for a second season and even after serious health scare late last season, is still raring to go!

Born in Solihull, the 20 year old joined Moseley RFC at a young age and progressed through their junior teams. He was selected for Midlands under 20’s squad in 2008 before beginning his first season with Coventry.

Ben had a successful first season with the Club and his dedication cannot be questioned. After suffering a near fatal reaction on the way back from an away fixture last season, he was eager to get back on the pitch.

Ben comments, “I’m still undergoing tests to establish what exactly happened but it in no way affects my ability to play so I’m just really chuffed to have been asked back and I want to make an even bigger impression this season”.

Pons joins his former team mates Ben Russell, Henno Venter, Kurt Johnson, Lee Parry, Rob Dugard, Sam Herrington, Jamie Miller and Ollie Winter alongside Richie Bignell, Arthur Brenton, James Hall, James Lewis, Louis McGowan, Aaron Carpenter, Phil Mackenzie, Mike Walls, Richard Sweeney, Ross McMillan, Scott Roberts, Kevin Davis, Pale Toelupe and Romain Plantey and Chris Lewis.
