Having completely revamped the match programme last season, we believe, from feedback received, successfully, we once again this coming want to see it totally reflect all aspects of the club.
Page 28 has in particular reflected on a number of areas from supporters news to articles written by a local referee, interviews with members and supporters.
Is there anything you would particularly like us to home in on ? Any areas that we haven’t dealt with already. If so, please do give me a call or drop me an email to either; 01543 432654 or 07961 917200 or email
Coventry RFC would like to formally thank the Coventry Telegraph, especially John Wilkinson for their true support of the club in their drive and commitment in raising the bond required by the RFU. Other key figures during this difficult time included John Butler, Peter Rossborough and John Walton, the Telegraph’s nominated trustees of the bond, who along with John worked tirelessly to raise the profile of the bond over the two week period. The passion that each of these individuals has for the club has shone through over the past month, going far beyond the call of duty.
Coventry RFC is thrilled to announce the decision that the RFU have agreed to allow the Club to continue playing in the National One Division League for the forthcoming 2008/9 Season. The decision has come after two weeks when the Coventry Telegraph stepped in to raise the £100,000 bond that the RFU required for the Club to continue to play at National One Level.
Coventry RFC has been overwhelmed by the support shown by fans, supporters and the people of Coventry. The amount raised is a great testament to the loyalty and spirit of all the true Coventry supporters. The commitment shown by supporters, players and staff to keeping Coventry Rugby in Coventry demonstrates the passion each individual feels towards the Club.
The Coventry Telegraph had an absolutely overwhelming response to their appeal on Saturday, when supporters, players and the OC Colts all teamed up together in the Lower Precinct to raise the awareness of the Coventry Public.
The magnificent amount of £2,046 was raised by kind donations made by shoppers in Lower Precinct. Coventry RFC would like to thank all these people who so kindly donated to the appeal, as well as all the supporters who were there in force to help get the important message across.
Coventry RFC players will be joining their fellow supporters in the Lower Precinct in Coventry this coming Saturday, between 9am and 5pm.
Coventry supporters have volunteered to give up their Saturday in a bid to help raise money and awareness for the Coventry Telegraph’s Appeal. A selection of the first team players will make an appearance to sign autographs and provide photo opportunities to show their true appreciation of all those who have so kindly supported the appeal.
