With a disappointing season opener against Sedgley Park last week, Cov were looking to restart their season and produce a solid performance for the Butts Park faithful against Rotherham Earth Titans. Very much a different side after a massive summer turnover, Rotherham, like Coventry, had a point to prove after a heavy opening defeat away to Nottingham, and so the scene was set for an interesting encounter.

Those of you who are film buffs might have been forgiven for thinking there had been a glitch in the system!

In a bitterly disappointing opening match of the season Coventry were again pipped to the post by Sedgley Park, in a virtual re-enactment of the same fixture last year.
