At Friday night’s game against Moseley RFC an incident occurred after the final whistle ,which involved a spectator and match officials. Coventry is appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident to contact the club on a confidential basis to help with enquires. It is alleged that a spectator at the ground tried to assault the referee. Coventry wish to make it absolutely clear that under no circumstances whatsoever would it even attempt to condone or excuse behaviour so contrary to the spirit of the game and so distressing to the match official. We are not aware at this time of the alleged assailant’s identity or of any connection with Coventry Rugby Club other than his presence at the stadium.

This Friday, 2nd October K/O 7.45pm sees Butts
Park Arena host the eagerly awaited Midlands derby between longstanding
rivals, Coventry and Moseley. Read more for Phil Maynard's team selection which includes new hooker signing, Ryan Prosser. In what is expected to be an

Long standing supporters of the Club will be saddened to learn of the death of Roy Evans on Sunday. Roy, who been suffering from cancer died peacefully in hospital after collapsing at home.
We send our sincerest wishes to Joyce and all the family for their sad loss.
Roy's funeral takes place on Thursday 8th October 2009, 10.30am at the Heart of England Crematorium, Liberty Way, Nuneaton and afterwards at Nuneaton Rugby Club. Anyone within the club who knew Roy is very welcome both at the funeral and afterwards. |
