Following the incredible display of
generosity and support shown by fans at Coventry’s fixture at the Ricoh Arena
last Friday, Coventry Rugby Club have today announced the creation of their Players’
Trust Fund. Both the team and their supporters should be applauded for their
actions as, whilst the team put in an outstanding performance, the crowd pulled
together to raise over £1,500 for the club. The club has been astonished by the
continuing enquiries from the public as to how they can contribute and can
confirm that donations made to the Players’ Trust Fund will go directly towards
paying the players. The fund was formed as a result of these enquiries and after
a meeting with administrators today, during which it was established that the players’
November wages do not fall under their jurisdiction. |

Friday 4th December K/O 7.45pm It is back to Championship League action this Friday at BPA as Coventry renew their local rivalry with Bedford Blues. Coventry will be hoping to put behind them their away loss against Bedford in September at Goldington Road and build on last Friday's fantastic cup defeat of Heriot’s RC. |

This Sunday, 29th November, Coventry players
will be joining other celebrities in the City centre to switch on the Christmas
lights for 2009! |
The players will be on the Travelodge
Balcony in Broadgate from 4.15pm to take on other sports personalities in a
competition before the big switch on at 5pm.

Friday 27th
November K/O 7.45pm Phil Maynard has now chosen his team to face Heriot's RC at Butts Park
Arena tonight. Coventry will entertain Heriot’s for the first time in over
50 years, in the 2nd round of the British & Irish Cup.
Both sides will be eager to
put behind them the disappointment of last week's narrow defeats but losing
bonus point games. |

Friday 20th November K/O 7.45pm Tonight sees the
prospective mouth-watering encounter between Coventry and Munster in the
inaugural British & Irish Cup competition. Phil Maynard has now chosen his team to face Munster at Butts Park Arena. This new competition includes
teams from the 12 English Championship sides, 6 Welsh Premiership, 3 Irish
Provincial and 3 Scottish. |
