Coventry Rugby Club will again be a significant feature in this week’s Ruck ‘n’ Maul on BBC Coventry & Warwickshire.

Peter Rossborough and Phil Maynard will join Vic Minett in the studio alongside regulars, John Butler and Richard Moon.

Coventry’s previously postponed fixture against Doncaster Knights has now been rearranged.

Saturday 16th January K/O 3pm

This Saturday sees Plymouth Albion entertain their old rivals, Coventry at Brickfields.

By a strange quirk of the fixtures, both teams’ last matches resulted in narrow defeats to Moseley, Coventry by 20-26 away on Boxing Day,and Plymouth at home 10-20. Both teams have not played since that date due to the inclement weather.

Coventry RFC Ltd has moved out of adminstration with the new company Coventry Rugby Ltd formed to take the Club forward.

After much uncertainty over recent weeks, this situation will now allow those involved to move forward to finish the season in a much more positive manner than was previously thought possible.

Rugby Director Phil Maynard commented "It really is time to roll up our sleeves, draw a line in the sand and move forwards".

Coventry Rugby Supporters Club are extremely pleased to hear of the withdrawal of Coventry Rugby Club from Administration and acknowledge the hard work and efforts undertaken by Peter Rossborough, the 'Advisory Board' and Centurion colleagues.

There is still a long way to go to establish the club on a firm footing for the future and we hope that all Cov supporters will now continue to support the Advisory Board and let them investigate further opportunities for financial support for the club.
