COVENTRY Development battled back from 19-5 down at half-time to beat Cambridge 2nd 33-19 and avenge their earlier Zoo Sports Shield away defeat.

Cambridge closed out what had been an evenly-contested first half at King Henry V111 School Playing Ground with two converted trues in quick succession to open up a healthy gap.

But Cov upped the tempo after the break, playing some excellent rugby in the right areas of the pitch, and scored 28 unanswered points with tries from Louis Roach, James Neal, Kwaku Asiedu and Tom Price.
